BioThane® is the brand name of all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It is a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating.

BioThane® Beta Standard

Beta is a soft coating that has the look and feel of leather. It has a matt finish, and is soft and very flexible. The leather embossing gives it the leather look. It will hold its flexibility in very cold weather.  Easy to clean after use. Thickness measures 2.5mm and break strength of 453kg (break strength value is per 25mm width).

Material: Polyester core and a polymer (PVC) coating.

Printed BioThane®

The designs are bright, durable, flexible and water resistant. However please do not use harsh chemicals, bleach or alcohol to clean printed BioThane.

Collars

Choosing Collar Width

The following information is provided purely as a rough guide.  Please take the size, weight and strength of your dog into account when ordering:

  • 16mm is suitable for extra small breeds and puppies;

  • 19mm is suitable for small to medium dog breeds, and is a 'standard' collar width;

  • 25mm is suitable for medium to large breeds; and

  • 38mm is suitable for large breed dogs.

Also note that the bigger the collar the heavier the hardware will be.  The wider collars are not suitable for smaller dogs due to the weight of the hardware.

Choosing Collar Length

Please note that all of the sizing options are exact measurements. E.g. a 28cm - 38cm collar will measure 28cm on the smallest setting, and 38cm on the largest setting.

For the best fit on a standard buckle collar select a size where your dog will fit the middle of the size range.
